CENTURY CITY
In the heart of West Los Angeles there’s a thriving city-within-a-city; a self-contained community that offers business and recreation, fashion and food, entertainment and accommodations. It’s Century City; a decidedly upscale mini-metropolis. In its short 50-year history, Century City has become an internationally recognized prestigious address for business, shopping, luxury living, theatre going, dining, and guest accommodations. It’s come a long way since its historic beginnings in 1958, when it was a movie back lot for the 20th Century Fox film studios. Century City is located on Los Angeles’ industrious west side. In fact, a major advantage of working, living, and socializing in Century City is its proximity to Beverly Hills, Westwood, Santa Monica, the Olympic corridor, and the Wilshire District. BEVERLY HILLS Beverly Hills continued to develop as one of the most glamorous places in the world to live, eat, play and, especially, shop. The Golden Triangle, with Rodeo Drive at its center, was built and marketed to the rest of the world as the shopping destination of a lifetime. Many other glamorous hotels opened, notably the Beverly Wilshire, attracting visitors from all over the world.
WEST LOS ANGELES West Los Angeles (also known as West L.A. or the Westside) comprises the Los Angeles city communities of Bel Air, Beverly Crest, Brentwood, Cheviot Hills, Pacific Palisades, Palms, Rancho Park, Sawtelle, West Los Angeles, Westwood. Many of the major educational, retail, cultural, and recreational attractions of Greater Los Angeles are located in this area, as is a large portion of the entertainment industry.

Some famous residents of Venice Beach: Julia Roberts, Kate Beckinsale, Lana Clarkson, Anjelica Huston, Nicolas Cage, Chaney Kley, Tim Meadows, Robert Hegyes, Michael T. Weiss, Fairuza Balk, Taylor Negron and musician Perry Farrell.
It is in Beverly Hills, not Hollywood, where many stars actually live, dine and shop. Only a few minutes drive southwest of downtown Hollywood, the City of Beverly Hills offers all of the glamour and opulence that anyone could reasonably hope for. Beverly Hills is, above all, a small town for the wealthy. Less than six square miles in size, Beverly Hills is strictly a neighborhood of homes and shops and is the most expensive place to live in the United States.
